Last Evening at the Edgecliff

Young Man Watching

Spent a final evening at the Edgecliff sketching with my friend, Sue. We wish Tim, the co-owner, and Stephanie, the server, and all others who work there the best in their future endeavors. We will miss them. The place was bustling with people coming in for a last meal and/or drink at the bar. Here's a few of my sketches from our time there...

  1. love this series, so loose but strong at the same time, I can tell you're using a moleskine that doesn't take water very well but the results are great. did you use a dip pen as well ?

  2. Thank you, Isabel. The Moleskine sketchbooks took some time to get used to with it's waxy finish. But I've come to like the way it resists and speckles. I used a Lamy Safari fountain pen for the line work. I prefer dip pens, and am on the search for a fountain pen that has the flexibility of drawing nib.

  3. Sorry I'm behind on seeing what everyone has been posting. I love these sketches especially the man watching at the top.
