Solstice at Toby's
A bit of solstice celebration with a number of my sketcher friends at Toby's in Coupeville. A great spot to sketch and have a beer or glass of wine. It's right on Penn Cove, so the view is fabulous. Particularly on the longest day of the year when the sunset extends into the late hours. I tried sketching that loveliness but could not do it justice. The violets and peachy oranges were gorgeous. Quite cliche, but well appreciated none the less.

These are loverly, Kris. What a fun time and you've gotta love Toby's for its range of sketching subjects. You make taxidermy look good!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisbeth! That was so fun, I forget to get mussels! Sketching is such a distraction. Oh well. Must return... this time to Captain Whidbey?!
ReplyDeleteFabulous watercolours as always Kris.
